The Stage 1 (Year 10 and 11) curriculum is based around a set of career pathways led by a mentor teacher with expertise and experience in that pathway. One of the programmed highlights of the year is a Pathway Trip to a University, TAFE College or workplace that offers courses, training and/or employment in a career of interest for students.

All students are expected to attend their allocated Pathway Trip. There are no Stage 1 teaching lessons scheduled for that day. Students can obtain more information about their relevant Pathway Trip from their Mentor Teacher / Pathway Leader.

Students will travel by bus to their Pathway location and are expected to wear full school uniform and fully cooperate with staff, readily obey instructions given and behave in a manner that does credit to themselves and Victor Harbor High School.
